About Next Train

Next Train is the leave-by companion for rail travel across 33 regions in Australia, the UK, Sweden, Finland and Norway. It tells you when to walk out the door for your train — using live times, delays included — not just another departure board.

Near me shows what’s leaving from the station nearest you. My Journeys saves a regular trip (station, direction, target train, and how long you need to get to the platform) and turns that into a leave-by time. My Routes is a quick saved departure board when you only need times. Preferences stay on this device.

Native app extras

In the Android and iOS apps you can add a home-screen widget so leave-by stays visible without opening the app. All are opt-in from Menu.

On Android, you can also turn on optional leave reminders (including a live countdown in your notifications).

Not official

Next Train is an independent app from Evans Studios. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any transport operator or authority it shows times for.

It uses publicly available live data. TfL data is Powered by TfL Open Data. Always check platform displays and announcements at the station.

Ads & remove ads

The free app may show a small banner ad (Google AdMob on Android and iOS; Google AdSense on the web when configured) to help cover hosting.

In the Android app, you can remove ads with a one-time purchase from Menu when that option is available. We never see your card details — Google Play handles payment.
